The percentages are not probabilities
When TickerLean says that, for example, 60% of indicators lean buy, it means that six of ten rule-based technical indicators currently point that way. It does not mean that there is a 60% chance that the price will rise, that the stock is “cheap”, or that you should buy it. Indicators often disagree with each other, lag behind price, and fail in markets driven by news, earnings, rumours, regulation or macroeconomic events.
Past performance
The “historical check” shows how a set of rules would have performed on past data for one stock. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results. Historical statistics are calculated with overlapping periods, ignore trading costs, taxes and slippage, and may reflect chance rather than a genuine pattern. Do not rely on them.
Data accuracy and availability
Market data is obtained from third-party sources, currently Yahoo Finance’s unofficial public interface, and may be delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, adjusted differently from your broker’s data, or unavailable at any time. We do not verify third-party data and make no representation that it is correct or current. Calculations may contain errors. Always confirm prices and facts with your broker or an official source before acting.
Risk of loss
Investing in stocks, ETFs and other securities involves risk, including the possible loss of the entire amount invested. Securities listed in foreign markets carry additional risks such as currency movements, different accounting and disclosure standards, and political risk. Leveraged, inverse and thinly traded products can be especially volatile.
