Terms of Use
Welcome to TickerLean. By accessing or using tickerlean.com (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
TickerLean is a free information tool that calculates technical indicators for listed securities and shows the results. The Service is provided for general information and education only. It is not investment advice; please read the Investment Disclaimer, which forms part of these Terms.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, and be legally able to enter into these Terms. You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you when using the Service.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
- use bots, scrapers, crawlers or other automated means to access the Service at a rate or volume that could burden it, or to copy it in bulk (ordinary search-engine crawling that respects
robots.txtis fine); - attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorised access to the Service, its servers or its data sources;
- circumvent technical limits or security measures;
- resell, redistribute or republish the Service’s results or data commercially without our written permission;
- click on advertisements artificially or encourage others to do so, or otherwise interfere with advertising shown on the Service;
- present the Service’s output as professional investment advice to others.
4. Intellectual property
The Service’s design, text, logo, software and compilation are owned by TickerLean or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. You may view the Service and use its results for your personal, non-commercial purposes, and may quote short extracts with a link back to the Service. All other rights are reserved. Market data, company names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification.
5. Third-party data, links and advertising
The Service relies on data from third parties, such as Yahoo Finance, which we do not control and which may change, become unavailable or be subject to their own terms. The Service may contain links to third-party websites and may display third-party advertisements, including those served by Google. We are not responsible for third-party content, products or services, and your dealings with them are solely between you and them.
6. No warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, availability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TickerLean and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or investment losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free) and KRW 100,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any consumer rights you have under mandatory law.
8. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless TickerLean and its operator from claims, damages and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
9. Changes, suspension and termination
We may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, and may restrict access for anyone who breaches these Terms. We may also update these Terms; the “Last updated” date shows the current version, and continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that give you the right to bring proceedings in your home country, the courts of the Republic of Korea have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the Service.
11. General
If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Disclaimer and the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
